Airbuds authentication is phone only

Airbuds uses phone authentication because it is a secure and convenient way to verify your identity. When you sign up for an Airbuds account, you will be prompted to enter your phone number. We will then send you a verification code via SMS, which you will need to enter to complete the sign-up process.

Once your account is verified, you can use your phone number to log in to Airbuds. You can also use your phone number to reset your password if you forget it.

We understand that some people may be concerned about privacy when using phone authentication. However, we take your privacy very seriously and will never share your phone number with third parties.

Why do I need a phone to authenticate in the Airbuds app?

There are a few reasons why you need a phone to authenticate in the Airbuds app:

  • Convenience: Most people carry their phones with them at all times, so using a phone for authentication is convenient and easy.

  • Compatibility: The Airbuds app is designed to work with smartphones, so using a phone for authentication is the most compatible option.


We use your phone as a way to identify you because music provider is not enough and don’t always have a stable identity.


What if I don't have a phone?

At the moment, the primary method to connect to Airbuds is through your phone number. However, there's an alternative option to log in using your email. Here's how:

  1. When prompted to enter your phone number, dismiss the keyboard by tapping anywhere outside the input field.

  2. Look for the button labeled "Need help to connect?" and tap on it.

  3. Then, select "I don't have a phone."

  4. You will then be prompted to log in with your email.
